Purpose Help the group practice biblical discernment. The goal is not perfect rules; it is learning to pause and ask wise questions.
Materials Six sticky notes or papers, pens, one marker, and a wall or table where everyone can see the final filter.
Opening Script “Imagine you are about to use AI for homework, friendship advice, prayer, or a hard decision. What questions would help you pause and choose wisely?”
Timing 3 minutes to rewrite, 8 minutes to share and choose wording, 8 minutes to test scenarios, 5 minutes for personal response.

Step 1: Assign The Six Questions

Give one category to each person or pair. Ask them to rewrite the question in youth language.

Truth Am I using this to seek truth or avoid truth?
Rewrite:
Integrity Would I be okay if my teacher, parent, or friend knew how I used it?
Rewrite:
Growth Is this helping me learn, or replacing my learning?
Rewrite:
Heart Is this feeding fear, laziness, pride, comparison, or isolation?
Rewrite:
Relationship Is AI replacing a conversation I should have with God or a real person?
Rewrite:
Lordship Is this a tool I control, or something quietly controlling me?

Step 2: Example Rewrites

Step 3: Test The Filter

Run two scenarios through the filter. Ask which question exposes the biggest issue.

Scenario A

AI writes my essay, then I edit it a little and submit it.

Scenario B

AI explains a math concept I do not understand, then I solve the practice questions myself.

Step 4: Final Response

Write the final six questions on one page or board titled “Y-Group AI Wisdom Filter.” Then ask each person to choose one filter question they personally need this week.

Leader Reminder

If the group turns this only into “what counts as cheating,” gently widen it: “That matters, but Proverbs is also asking about our heart, our path, and who we are becoming.”
