This route avoids the long cross-city trip to Arashiyama. Fushimi Inari is beside the station, and Nishiki Market is saved for the end because it is close to Kyoto Sumo Club.
End the day with an accessible introduction to sumo culture. Former professional wrestlers demonstrate rituals, training techniques and matches while guests enjoy chanko hot pot. It is an entertainment experience—not an official tournament or active-stable practice.
Arrive at 5:30 p.m. for the 6:00–8:00 p.m. session.
After the show, walk to Hankyu Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station. Take the Hankyu Kyoto Line Limited Express to Osaka-Umeda, walk to JR Osaka Station, then take the Osaka Loop Line to Shin-Imamiya.
